The Wadden Sea National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site covering 1,500 square kilometres. Here you can experience the unique tidal area that harbours millions of birds and rich wildlife. The park is home to Denmark's largest shallow water area and offers fantastic opportunities for hiking, bird watching and nature experiences.

In the Wadden Sea, including the areas around Rømø and the marshes, the tidal influence is particularly strong. The difference between high and low tide can be up to 2 metres, creating a dynamic landscape with wadis, marshes and islands. This constant movement of water contributes to the area's unique geology and ecosystem.
