Please note that new parking rules have been introduced in the area, where there is a time limit with a parking disc or paid parking via App.
When parking a foreign-registered car, a parking disc that meets the requirements of the home country may be used. There may only be one parking disc in the window.
In Denmark, parking discs must be used in places with time-limited parking, where tickets or parking permits are not used. If the parking time is at least 24 hours, the requirement does not apply.
Setting the dial
The dial is set to the time when the car is parked.
If parking starts before a time-limited period and continues into it, you can choose to set it to the start of parking or to the time when the time limit begins.
The disc must be set manually unless an approved automatic parking disc is used.
Automatic parking discs
An automatic dial must automatically set the time to the end of the quarter hour when the engine is stopped. It must also be manually adjustable and approved by the authorities. The digital version must clearly display the time in 24-hour format and be correctly marked.
Placement of the disc
The parking disc must be placed inside the windshield, typically at the bottom right, so that it is visible and easy to read from the outside. There must be no other discs in the car that could cause confusion.
Important to remember
Once the car is parked, the disc must not be changed before driving again. Violation of the rules may result in a fine.
