Hans J. Wegner (1914–2007) was one of Denmark's most influential furniture designers and a central figure in Danish modernism. He is particularly known for his elegant and functional chairs, where craftsmanship, comfort and aesthetics merge into a higher unity.
Wegner designed over 500 chairs during his career, including the iconic Wishbone Chair. His approach was simple: a piece of furniture should not only look good – it should also function perfectly in use.
Today, his designs are world-renowned and considered timeless classics within Danish design.
Now, anyone with a love for Wegner's furniture can experience a museum dedicated to him and his furniture. The museum is open to the public and offers an insight into his life and the furniture he developed throughout his life.
