Thatched house with soul at the Wadden Sea National Park
With soul and charm, Huset Milou (from 1700) invites you to explore the unique landscape of the Wadden Sea with endless horizons and the impressive natural phenomenon "black sun". The house is idyllically located at the entrance to the town and has a private, fenced garden with a south-facing terrace. Dogs are welcome and guests are welcomed in person.
The house is 70 m² and has a separate double bedroom and sleeping space for two more people + a child in the living area. The living room is bright and spacious and the cosy kitchen is fully equipped and has a built-in dining area. In addition to a bathroom with shower, there is also a utility room.
During the cold months, the house is heated by underfloor heating under beautiful Spanish tiles. The charming 18th-century low-ceilinged style gives the house a very special atmosphere.

Hills and environs
Højer is the perfect starting point for excursions in South Jutland and to the islands of Föhr and Amrum. The North Sea is quickly accessible and it's only a short trip to both Sylt and Rømø with their endless natural beaches. The town itself is charming with its old mill, beautiful streets, dikes and nearby locks, as well as the cosy harbour on the Vidåen. Visit the Nolde Museum and Zollhaus Café, and enjoy coffee and the famous bread pie at Højer Mill.
There is a grocery store, butcher and bakery in town. The area is ideal for hiking, cycling and relaxing.
Tøndermarsken stretches over 54 kilometres with many attractions and museums for both young and old. Beautiful towns like Tønder and Ribe are always worth a visit. In addition, Schackenborg Castle is known for its mould barrels. LEGOLAND Billund is a 1.5-hour drive away and the Baltic Sea can be reached in just 45 minutes by car. The flora and fauna of the area is characteristic and indescribably beautiful.
In Højer and the surrounding area you can experience the natural phenomenon "Black Sun" at the right time of year, when the starlings cover the sky. When the starlings are not present, visitors are likely to be fascinated by other birds and their songs.
