OPENING HOURS
During the season, it is open from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m
Out of season, however, has opened when there is good weather at the weekend.
We strive to stay open
spring, summer and autumn from morning to evening.
At the beginning of 2013, Højer Lokalråd took over the water tower from Tønder Vandforsyning, which no longer needed it. On 30 April the same year, the Association Højer Vandtårn was founded, which was the only one to submit a proposal when the local council announced a competition for the future use of the tower.
Today you can via a new 34 m long spiral staircase go from the bottom up to the former water tank, from where there is now access to a viewing balcony where you can walk all the way around the tower, and in clear weather enjoy the view of the Marsh
and the Wadden Sea with the islands Herring and Rømø, in addition there are views of eight church towers, two of which are south of the border.
