The dunes at Lakolk
The dunes on Lakolk beach are a popular place to enjoy the evening sun over Lakolk Beach. Many people choose to park their car or motorhome close to the dunes instead of by the beach, because here is peaceful and often a beautiful view of Lakolk Beach. Lakolk Beach is Northern Europe's widest beach where there is plenty of space to swim, fly a kite, go for a walk or just relax and enjoy nature.
Vongshøj
Vongshøjs is located northwest of Løgumkloster, located at a height of 62 meters, where you can also climb a tower to get an impressive view of the entire area. Vongshøj also has tables and benches, so you can enjoy the packed lunch you have brought.
Vidåslusen
The Vidåslusen is the floodgates that ends the Vidåen, which runs along the Danish-German border and out through Marsken. With its large gates, the lock is an attraction in itself, while at the same time it protects the land behind the dykes. If you move up on the dyke, you get a view of the Waddensea and the huge plains of the mud that open up at low tide.
Tønder Water Tower
Actually, the water tower in Tønder is part of the Art Museum, therefore you have to pay admission to the museum to go up the water tower. Here you can enjoy the view over the entire town of Tønder, and as a bonus you are also allowed to see Hans J. Wegner's exhibition of chairs, which are up in the water tower.
Juvre - Military shooting range
In addition to a view of a large area most reminiscent of the Marsh, from this vantage point you can look out over a military area that is today actively used by the air force for shooting training. The shooting practice often attracts lots of spectators, as you will be able to experience military aircraft flying so low that you can almost see the pilot.

The water tower in Højer
In the middle of Højers town center is the town's old water tower, which has been able to create a large enough pressure to be able to supply the whole town with water.
Today, the water tower has become a lookout tower, and no more water can be stored in the tower.
When you have moved all the way up the tower, you will be able to see all the way to Rømø, Herring and far beyond the Marsh.
Marsh Tower in Skærbæk
Marsk Camp offers unique experiences and motorhome holidays at the magnificent National Park Waddensea, which is on the UNESCO World Heritage List. From the Marsh Tower you can see as far as the eye can see and in all directions from the 25 m high tower that winds towards the sky.
Spidsbjerg - Rømø
The most beautiful view of Rømø is from Spidsbjerg in Kirkeby Plantation. To get to Spidsbjerg, you have to take a hike through the heather and climb the 50 wooden stairs to reach the highest and most beautiful point in Rømø.
From the 19 meter high hill you can look west to the sea. To the south there is a view of Havneby, the ferry and the German island, Sylt. To the north you look across Kirkeby Plantation to the Rømø dam and in clear weather Esbjerg glimpses on the horizon.
An absolutely wonderful walk - which is not marked - follows the top of the dunes through the open landscape with dunes.
The nearest parking space is at the church or the parking space in Kirkeby Plantage on Havnebyvej.
Rømø Dam
A favorite place for bird enthusiasts. The Rømø Dam is 9.2 km long, and connects Rømø with the mainland, and can undoubtedly impress children and adults with a view out over the Nationalpark Waddenseas. On some days when visibility is high, you can see both Mandø and even the chimneys at Esbjerg Harbour.
Emmerlev Klev
Emmerlev Klev is a stretch of coast where it has not been necessary to build a dike, as the coast is already located really high. In fact, you can see that every year the Waddensea eats a little of the coast. Emmerlev Klev is often seen as a little unknown gem, as the location is very isolated and requires that you have to move out on narrow country roads.
