Our holiday apartment "Mühlenblick" offers 114 square meters on the first floor of one of Højer's most beautiful historic buildings from 1902. Originally built as a residence and office for a wealthy merchant's family, the house is surrounded by a large, well-kept garden.

The accommodation includes three double bedrooms, a modern bathroom with shower and bath, an open plan lounge and a fully fitted dining kitchen. A new fireplace adds coziness between the kitchen and the living room, where there is also plenty of space for relaxation, socializing and TV entertainment. There is access to both German and Danish TV channels via satellite, as well as free Wi-Fi.

• Bedroom 1: 21.2 square meters with a double bed (180×200 cm)
• Bedroom 2: 12.4 square meters with two single beds (100×200 cm) that can be assembled or separated as needed
• Bedroom 3: 15.5 square meters with a double bed (160×200 cm)
• Kitchen: 19 square meters
• Bathroom: 15.1 square meters
• Open living room: 31.16 square meters

The large, fenced garden is perfect for relaxing and barbecue evenings. There are parking options behind the house, and guests can also use the hosts' washing machine and dryer. The supermarket and the bus stop are less than 2 minutes' walk away. Pets are welcome by prior arrangement with the hosts.

Højer and the surroundings

Højer is the ideal starting point for excursions in South Jutland and to the islands of Sild, Før and Amrum. The town charms with its old mill, beautiful streets, nearby lock and dykes. There are good shopping opportunities in the form of a supermarket, butcher and bakery. The Wadden Sea and scenic beaches, including the island of Rømø, are within easy driving distance. The area invites you to hike, cycle and relax – for example along the hiking trail Markstien through the Tøndermarsken of 54 kilometers. There are many sights and museums for both young and old, as well as beautiful towns such as Tønder and Ribe, which are worth visiting. Schackenborg Castle in Møgeltønder and LEGOLAND Billund are within 1.5 hours' drive, while the Baltic Sea is only 45 minutes away by car.

The nature and wildlife are exceptionally beautiful, and in Højer and the surrounding area you can experience the special natural phenomenon "Black Sun" in certain seasons. If the starlings do not cover the sky, visitors will surely be enchanted by the melodious song of other birds.
