Arrild Fiskesø is a popular and well-maintained Put & Take destination, located amidst the peaceful nature surrounding Arrild Ferieby in Southern Jutland. Anglers of all ages gather here to enjoy quiet hours by the water – and to catch both large and small trophies.
The site consists of two large fishing lakes and a separate stretch for fly fishing. The lakes cover a total area of approximately 17,000 m² with depths of up to 5–6 meters. Fish are regularly released here – especially rainbow trout, golden trout and brook trout – in weight classes from approximately 1 kg up to over 10 kg.
In addition, there is a 560-meter-long fly fishing stream with small bridges, benches and natural shaded areas. A big plus for those who want a more specialized experience.
A special children's lake is dedicated to children between the ages of 2 and 12. Here, the fish are smaller and easier to catch, providing a safe and fun introduction to the world of angling for the youngest.
Arrild Fiskesø offers modern facilities for both experienced fishermen and families:
Kiosk and tackle shop with bait, fishing tackle, snacks and drinks
Cleaning area as well as freezing and cooling rooms for storing the catch
Toilets – also wheelchair accessible
Benches, deck chairs and covered areas by the lakes
Possibility to rent fishing rods
You can stay overnight in cozy camping barrels (2-person), which include a fish dish, breakfast and access to a bathroom/toilet. There is also the option of camping in a tent, caravan or camper at a nearby campsite.
Fishing is carried out according to clear guidelines that prioritize animal welfare and the community.
Only one hook may be used per fish.
Fish must be handled and killed correctly
No net storage, no bathing and no grilling
Walking at the fly area is only permitted after 6 p.m.
There is no catch limit – catch as much as you want. Several fishermen have landed rainbow trout weighing over 10 kg, and you can earn bronze, silver and gold pins from Danish Trout Lakes for your achievements.
Arrild Fiskesø is open year-round with varying opening hours depending on the season. You buy fishing licenses at the kiosk or via a machine, and there is easy access with parking close to the lakes.
