Slotsgaden in Møgeltønder

Slotsgaden runs between Schackenborg and Møgeltønder Sønderby and is widely considered one of Denmark's most beautiful streets. The street is renowned for its remarkably large collection of fine, old houses, its cobblestone paving, and its avenue of lime trees. A large number of the houses were built from 1680 by Field Marshal Hans Schack for the castle's officials and craftsmen. It is free to take a stroll through the street, which is located just a few minutes west of Tønder.
