Højer Church

The church is open Monday - Friday during normal working hours or by appointment for visits and personal devotion.

During December, January, and February, the church is open by appointment.

The History of the Church

Højer Church may well be the first and oldest church in the area, with its earliest sections dating back to around 1100. Originally, the church comprised a nave, chancel, and apse, though these were later removed. The transepts, tower, and porch were most likely added during the 1400s.
