Arrild Fiskesø is a popular and well-maintained Put & Take destination, located in the heart of the peaceful nature surrounding the Arrild holiday village in Southern Jutland. Here, anglers of all ages gather to enjoy quiet hours by the water – and to catch both large and small trophies.

🐟 The lakes and fishing

The site consists of two large fishing lakes and a separate stretch dedicated to fly fishing. The lakes cover a total area of approx. 17,000 m² with depths of up to 5–6 metres. Fish are regularly released here – especially rainbow trout, gold trout, and brown trout – in weight classes from approx. 1 kg right up to over 10 kg.

In addition, there is a 560-metre-long fly-fishing stream with small bridges, benches, and natural shaded areas. A great bonus for those who want a more specialised experience.

👶 The children's lake – fishing for the little ones

A special children's lake is dedicated to children aged between 2 and 12. Here, the fish are smaller and easier to catch, providing a safe and fun introduction to the world of angling for the youngest guests.

Arrild Fiskesø offers modern facilities for both experienced anglers and families:

• Kiosk and tackle shop with bait, fishing gear, snacks, and drinks

• Cleaning station plus freezer and refrigerator storage for the catch

🏕️ Accommodation

You can stay overnight in cosy camping barrels (2-person), which include fishing rights, breakfast, and access to bath/toilet. There is also the opportunity for camping in a tent, caravan, or motorhome at the nearby campsite.

📏 Rules and fishing rights

Fishing is conducted according to clear guidelines that prioritise animal welfare and the community.

• Only one hook may be used per fish

• Fish must be handled and dispatched correctly

• No storage in nets, no swimming, and no grilling

• Walking by the fly-fishing area is only allowed after 6 PM

🏆 Catches and records

There is no catch limit – catch as much as you like. Several anglers have landed rainbow trout weighing over 10 kg, and you can achieve bronze, silver, and gold pins from Danish Trout Lakes for your achievements.

🕒 Opening hours and access

Arrild Fiskesø is open all year round with varying opening hours depending on the season. You can purchase fishing permits at the kiosk or via the machine, and there is easy access with parking close to the lakes.
