Blokarting and land sailing is a fast-paced and fun experience on Sønderstrand on Rømø — one of Denmark's widest and firmest beaches. The combination of wind, sail, and wheels creates a unique experience for the whole family.
A blokart is a three-wheeled go-kart with a sail, powered by the wind. The sport came to Denmark in the 90s and has since been a permanent fixture on Sønderstrand. You use your arms to steer and the sail to regulate speed — within 5-10 minutes, you are ready to zoom away.
What can you expect?

- Ride freely on the wide, firm beach surface
- Accessible to everyone — no experience necessary
- Option to rent helmets and gloves from the providers
Practical information
It is recommended to bring gloves, a hat, and warm clothing (or sunglasses if the weather permits). The activity requires a certain wind strength — neither too little nor too much wind. The providers are typically on the beach during holiday periods from April to September, but bookings can be made directly online.
